Comic Book Philosophy ^_^

I just finished Volume 2 of a comic book series called Forever Evil, and wanted to share an interesting quote by Dave E. Smalley:

...said the survival of the fittest is the ageless law of nature, but the fittest are rarely the strong.  The fittest are those endowed with the qualifications for adaptation, the ability to accept the inevitable and conform to the unavoidable, to harmonize with existing or changing conditions

I find that it was very profound thought, but I don't really understand what it means.   What do you think it means?  If you figure it out, please post it in the comments  :)

Current Read

I am currently reading The Silence of Bonaventure Arrow. This is a remarkable telling of a young boy with the gift of sound.  I am fascinated with the way Rita Leganki unites words together. She certainly shares an art for storytelling. I aspire to be a gifted storyteller one day.

I will keep you updated in my quest to discover the gift this story will bring.
Happy Reading!

The Love for Reading

Aside from my adventures with family and friends, I have devoted a great part of my summer to reading. The liberating feeling comes from entering the unknown world of stories. There were many moments when I found myself unable to leave my warm Book Nook without feeling an urgency to continue reading. My friends would laugh at me as my mind was often engaged in the characters I left behind.

Boys and girls, this year I invite you to embark on this wonderful journey with me - enter different worlds; undergo an array of varied emotions; connect with fictional beings; and simply experience the love of reading.

Books gives us a way of speaking the unspeakable.
